Auto Descender – Trublue

Auto belay devices allow a climber to climb without another person holding the rope. The tape attaches to the climbers harness which retracts into the unit as the climber ascends. When the climber leaves contact with the climbing wall they are automatically lowered to the ground at a steady rate.

The units are increasingly popular in indoor climbing centres and other commercial venues as they can also enable relative beginners to climb with minimum supervision after an initial safety induction.
